Environmental documentary showing at the Coolidge

Urban Roots, a documentary celebrating the story of a Detroit community's vision for locally-grown, sustainable food, is showing at the Coolidge Corner Theatre on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. The struggle to reclaim vacant lots and abandoned property in Detroit for growing food holds an iconic place in the food movement - Urban Roots follows the people of Detroit as they work to change their surroundings from old factory yards and buildings to places for bountiful food production. This film is part of the Green Screens series at the Coolidge.
