Bountiful Brookline was created in the spring of 2009 in response to the belief that we have the opportunity and responsibility to grow food throughout Brookline. Seeking to address food security and community sustainability we are partnering with agencies, institutions and individuals interested in creating access to affordable, organic food for everyone in Brookline.
Envision a Brookline where food is grown at our homes and schoolyards, on public and private land as well as the greenhouses, roofs, walls, and fences throughout our community. We believe that the potential and desire for affordable, local food is expansive. We seek to promote opportunities and support youth, residents, institutions and businesses in growing and sharing Brookline’s bounty.
Join us! Tell family, friends and neighbors about Bountiful Brookline. Are you presently or considering back yard, schoolyard or community gardening? Gardeners and other food advocates are invited to add their name to our growing list of supporters. Contribute your time and resources to projects being planned for 2010 and beyond. If you are interested in actively participating in developing Bountiful Brookline please join our steering committee.
